- Mr. Ajay Popat, CEO, Ion Exchange Waterleau, was a jury member at the prestigious 2012 FICCI Water
Awards Ceremony held in FICCI House, Delhi, on August 7. A citation, for his invaluable help in screening proposals and
selecting winners, was handed to him by Honorable Chief Minister of New Delhi, Ms.Sheila Dikshit and by Deputy Chairman of
Planning Commission, Mr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia. Mr. Popat accepted a grove of twenty trees located at the periphery of
Kumbhalgarh Sanctuary, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India; hence endorsing Ion Exchange’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
- Mr. Ajay Popat, CEO, Ion Exchange Waterleau, spoke on “New Technologies in Industrial Water Treatment”
during the session on Industrial Water & Waste Water Treatment at a national seminar on ‘Water for All’ in New Delhi,
organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry’s Water Equipment & Management Division.
- Mr. Popat, was one of the speakers at the Round Table Conference on Water Supply in Mumbai – Challenges & Prospects, organised by Observer Research Foundation.
- He also chaired the sessions on Recycle & Reuse of Water and Use of Ultra Filtration Technology & RO Technology at the Aquatech Conference in New Delhi on Innovative Technologies in Water Sustainability, at which Mr. CK Sandeep, Vice President - Corporate Marketing, Ion Exchange made a presentation.
- At the Indian Desalination Association – Asia Pacific Desalination Association (InDA – APDA) Conference on March 10th, 2010, Mr. Ajay Popat co-chaired the Technical Session III on ‘Advances in Thermal & Membrane Desalination’ and presented his views on ‘Desalination & Water Purification’.
